DESCRIPTION:

In a dream state, I asked Mary, mother of Christ, now elderly, about the day of her son's crucifixion. She says nothing but draws a deep breath, lowers her gaze and sighs deeply, lost in reminiscence. When I awoke, I drew with charcoal what I had seen. 

 

Mary radiated a gentle beauty, born of inner peace and wisdom. It is that gentleness that  I tried to capture. ​
